The Process

Portrait Planning Appointment

The first step in having your portrait created is for us to get together for a portrait planning session. This session is complimentary and an integral part in creating a unique portrait that is a true reflection of your personality. This session usually lasts about 30 minutes. We will discuss many important details such as; clothing choices, location, sizing, finishing techniques, investment and of course framing and design. We will take the stress out of every step for you. You will be able to sit back, relax and watch as Susan creates your own personal masterpiece.

Portrait Session

Our number one goal is that you have fun while being photographed. You can’t look great if you are not relaxed and enjoying the process of having your portrait created. Susan has a unique ability to adapt to the personality of her subjects, a newborn baby, a rambunctious two year old, a feisty teenager, or the complex dynamic of an extended family. She can create beautiful and meaningful images of every age group. Susan says, “I just love to be with people and I have been very blessed to have been entrusted by so many families to create their family history in portraits.”

Come ready to have fun and create beautiful memories during your session!

Portrait Viewing Appointment

We recognize that a fine portrait is a sizable investment, therefore, we want you to be comfortable with the selections that you make. Because of the many styles and prices of our portraits, we will assist you with your selections in our studio. We will schedule your viewing session after your portrait session. This session is usually scheduled a week or two after your portrait session. It is important that we have about 60-90 minutes of your time. We will be viewing your images in a way that allows us maximum flexibility to show each of your images at their best!

Anyone who will be significant during your purchase decisions should come with you at this time, as you will be placing your order during this scheduled appointment. If you have any questions about this please do not hesitate to ask us prior to your portrait session.

Due to the custom nature of our product it is customary to pay in full at the time the order is placed. We accept all major credit cards as well as personal checks. Although children are always welcome in our studio, you may find it to your advantage to make other arrangements for them during this appointment.

Your creation fee includes your viewing session. Please respect our time by letting us know in advance if you need to reschedule your viewing session. There is a $150 fee for missed sessions. This fee also applies to customers requiring additional viewing sessions.
